Everyone must have their address number attached to their house, displayed in a spot visible from the road or driveway. This will help all emergency personnel to respond quickly to an emergency.
*** If you are planning to build in or move structures to New Sharon, a building notification form is required with a fee of $25.00 to be filed with the Code Enforcement Officer (CEO). If you are building, planning any construction, or cutting trees within 250 ft of any body of water or wetlands, you should contact the CEO for the necessary additional permit(s).
Waste Management Inc.’s “back gate” in Norridgewock is open Wed, Thur. & Fri. from 9:30am to 6:00pm & Sat. from 7:30am to 4:00pm. There are fees for most items taken to the “back gate”. Waste Mgmt phone is 207-634-2714 if you have specific questions. These fees must be paid at the Town Office before taking the items to landfill.
Roadside pickup of trash and recyclables will be picked up every week. You don’t need to sort trash from recyclables, Archies will do it at the landfill, there is no charge. The spring and fall Large Item pick up is also no charge except for tires and appliances containing freon.
